Still can't get used to that term: car boot. LOL.......In America, a car boot is a locking device that the police puts on a tire to impound the car! Neat piece, Tango. Great weapon, uh....., I mean bangle!. [;>)
Nevada, here in France we call them "vide grenier" or "foire à tout", held outside once a year by lot of villages :-)
Usually, lot of used baby toys or clothes, avocado serving sets (each booth have one!), used tires, potteries marked table trash bin....

Here in America, too, small towns have an annual town-wide yard sale. In big cities, like Las Vegas, Nevada, individual neighborhood communities hold their own annual neighborhood yard sales. The senior citizens community neighborhood that my wife and I live in now recently had our annual neighborhood-wide yard sale a few months ago. [;>)

This is a type of bracelet or anklet used as currency in the West African Kingdoms. It has an unusual twisted design, it is closed but you can see on the picture that it could be opened.Inside dimensions 6cms in diameter, outside 9cms in diameter. 300g about 12 ounces.This is also called a manilla:"Manillas are a form of money, usually made of bronze or copper, which were used in West Africa.[1] They were produced in large numbers in a wide range of designs, sizes, and weights. Originating before the colonial period, perhaps as the result of trade with the Portuguese Empire, Manillas continued to serve as money and decorative objects until the late 1940s and are still used as decorative objects in some contexts. In the popular consciousness, they are particularly associated with the Atlantic slave trade.[2]The name manilla is said to derive from the Spanish[1] for a 'bracelet' manella, the Portuguese for 'hand-ring' manilha,[3] or after the Latin manus (hand) or from monilia, plural of monile (necklace).[4] They are usually horseshoe-shaped, with terminations that face each other and are roughly lozenge-shaped.
