Bought this at a yard sale for my granddaughter. Wondering what it was used for? I believe it is thumbprint pattern... Any info will be useful. 4 inches tall 14 inches around 4 inches across. Very heavy

Gillinder had this spoon holder (spooner) form in their 1881-89 catalog as their #408 Daisy & Button pattern; not sure if it may have been reproduced.
