I've never seen earrings like these, and imagine they are 1970s or 1980s. The *gems* are "cracked" on the inside. I thought at first they were damaged, but that's not the case. Every piece has the "cracks" on the inside. The outsides are perfectly smooth. No maker's name.

    Thanks for looking/loving, CW friends!

They look rather large? Very unusual indeed.

Remember the MOD fashion style, back in the mid '60s? These earrings remind me of that time, something that Twiggy would be seen wearing. [;>)

It is a term, but doesn't look anything like the earrings. http://www.theglassmuseum.com/roughsurfaces.htm

Gillian - yes, I see what you mean. "Crackle glass" came to my mind, too, when I first noticed that each piece had the same appearance.

I am posting a PART II with close up photos of the glass, as it were.

rucklczglass, - I have examined these "stones" closer and a skin test tells me that they are warm. I wonder if these gems could be Lucite.

Nevada -these could be 1960s. They certainly have the colors for it!

rucklczglass - I thought at first it was glass because of the "cracks" inside. Never thought about it being a Lucite type of material until a few hours later, lol...
I don't think your comment is exactly irrelevant - it does provide food for thought for later "discoveries".

a lot of glass, like paperweights, always show crack lines when washed in hot water.

PhilDMorris - not made out of glass, but Lucite. The crack lines are inside - there is no damage at all to the outside of the spheres.
