I was a crew chief on F-4E aircraft, always loved them. They phased out the Phantoms right after I got out in 1979.
dlfd911, we (VMFA-451) stepped up from the "J" to the "S" in 1977 . I heard that the "S" was replaced around 1980 for 451. Thank you for the comment and showing the love.

I as in the 33tac in Eglin if Florida we had 30 or more of F-4, when i was there first 1975 they were in Vietnam.
