    Found while clearing out my grandfathers house. It seems to small to be a pipe. I'm not sure if its ivory. No markings on the box or item.

      I'd say a pipe, too. Meerschaum. My grandfather had one like that in a similar case with the same intricate carving. They were a thing.

      Meerschaum. Thanks I will do some research on that then. So you would put a cheroot in the end and smoke away. The bowl does look to small for a loose tobacco. Thanks
