I recently purchased this figurine. It looks to be a bone or perhaps an ivory. This figurine measures 2 1/2" wide X 1 1/2" in height. It looks to be rather old but I'd be guessing if I gave you an age. The figurine is missing his tail, otherwise in excellent condition. This figurine is unmarked.

i love this piece! i think it's a tiger, rather than a foo dog, but maybe foo dogs were also tigers? they are also called Buddhist lions.

Are you sure the tail is missing? It looks like a tubby tail. Is there a clear break? Could it be some sort of lionbear?

Yes, the tail has broken off. I am unable to upload any other images for you to see.
