I'm sure most of you have seen these around, probably even owned some, but it's only recently I have really looked at them and appreciated them.

I know the apple shaped jar is by Sasaki but am not sure about the other two.

They are all well made glass with beautifully finished rims and bases.
The turned wooden lids are either teak or cherry I think and sit so nicely.

It's good to look at familiar things and appreciate them differently.
    1960s do you think?

Very lovely Karen!! Mid modern Flair !!

I am not good with wood at all, but I am wondering IF this may be a dark Walnut wood???

      I am not sure Rose.
Generally these items are sold as teak or cherry but I wouldn't bet on it.

      lol,....still learning my woods.

Here is a piece of Walnut wood here on CW with a Walnut label on it. That is why I thought yours (might) be Walnut??

LOL...Lord know I am just guessing with my gut feeling about the Walnut....?? but it does kinda look like the wood on yours. I do not know.....just throwing it out there.

They do Katherine, thanks! It's nice to use things and be able to like them at the same time.
Otherwise, what's the point in having them?

I think they are teak. I'm pretty sure they're not cherry. I am always a sucker for pretty wood, no matter what it is! These are very nice.
