Nicely Framed and display -- now is that reflective of the bowl history ?? or just a piece of Art? I do not know. would hate to open up the back, as too nice for that

The symbol in the center of the Bowl is that of the Chinese Star God Shou, representing Canopus and Longevity. This is one of his several major symbols and he has well over a hundred minor symbols, many of which surround his center symbol in your bowl.

I had a similar plate in this calligraphy pattern and asked an expert I contacted via Facebook to appraise it; he told me that most of these are fakes. Without seeing the base of your bowl, of course, but as it looks nearly identical to mine, I would suspect it is a contemporary reproduction. If you can remove the bowl and take pics of the base and post them, it might be possible to say more.
