This is a 1924 size 16 Illinois with an open face conversion dial. By the 1920's hunter case watches had gone out of style. Many of them were converted to open face by slapping on a new dial with all the numbers oriented open face style and moving the seconds bit to the 3:00 position... This one is housed in a glass back Hamilton display case so you can see the movement. Illinois was bought by Hamilton in 1927. I can't see any extra case screw marks so I'm thinking this might have been it's original case. What do you think?
