I have a picture of my G-G-Grandfather playing a classical guitar and I am curious to know the approx. age and maker. It looks like a very fine guitar based on the inlays and decorative trim.

wow that is cool. It appears to be a steel string guitar, not a nylon string "classical" guitar as you describe it. The slotted headstock design was typical in the early 20th century on steel string guitars. The inlay is very elaborate which as you say indicates it was a higher value instrument. Another unique clue is the "pyramid" style bridge. Any other info since you posted this? Any idea when the photo was taken? Hope that helps.
I found out what it is. It's a Washburn Parlor Guitar circa 1900-1905.
