This doll is a first for me , I've never seen a doll made to this extent from plant pulp or fibers such as this, her dress is wonderful and well made, I though maybe Peru but not sure, she is pretty though

Your lovely Native American doll is actually from Florida and was made by a member of the Seminole Indian Tribe. The doll is dressed in their native costume and what appears to be the doll's hat isn't meant to be a hat at all! It represents the original way in which Seminole women styled their hair. While Seminole women have made these dolls for their own children for many years these (business savvy) women began selling them to tourists sometime in the 1920-30's. These dolls are still made and sold today.
