I bought this lamp at a resale shop about a month ago. There wasn't any shade included. Can anyone identify or date this lamp? Would love to use it, but I'm at a loss as to what goes on the top. Love the colors!

The colors are great! Reminds me of those tumblers we used to drink from at my grandmothers ;)

Awesome, that gives me some additional ideas of where to look to see if I can figure out what kind of shade or top was on this. Keep those comments coming! I still can't seem to find it.

The switch picture is hardly needed. It represents switches sold everywhere in the 1980's and on. How large or small is it ?? If small a nice brass or black brass small shade would be nice. I use them for all my homemade lamps.

Hello PhilDMorris. Based on the S shaped hardware for the bulbs it would have to be oblong and short I would think. The screw mechanism at the top does not accommodate any finials that I can find. The lamp measures 14" high and the mechanism that holds the bulbs is 8" wide. Thanks for your help.

      It's anodized aluminum.

      Look up:
      vintage colored spun aluminum lamp

Or Vintage anodized aluminum lamp (add colored)

THe shade would have also been aluminium.
    14. Celiene Celiene, 8 years ago
aluminum lamps were made by the Soundrite Co. in Holyoke, Mass in the 1930's.
