This model was first produced in 1938. This stapler was first made by the Parrot Speed Fastener Corp. In 1939 Speed Products Co. took over. Swingline was a brand name for Speed Products but Swingline takes over in 1956. In 1957 they were painted gray thus this is from 1957.
This was ground breaking stapler as it was the first where one just opened the stapler and inserted a stick of staples. Previous models required removing other parts before the stapler could be reloaded.
This stapler has a great art deco design. I could use a few more office supplies.
The old ones are the best ones!
