When I was a young boy growing up, my father would often speak to me in proverbs. The one that I remember the most, and which has perhaps affected my behavior with others the most, is this proverb: "The tongue is not steel, yet it cuts." The proverb that has influenced my outlook on life the most is this one: "Count your blessings, not your problems." Sometimes, like now, I miss having my Dad to talk to. [;>)
