As can be seen, it has PLAT stamped on it. The makers mark is CH. but all similar marks are for silver.
It has been in the family for as long as I can remember.
The stone is about quarter carat diamond.
I have spent a lot of time trying to find out who, and where this was made.

      Hi and Welcome !

      PLAT would mean PLATINUM
    2. NickB, 8 years ago
I knew it was platinum, but thank you, my question is who is the maker of the ring and how old do you think it is please
      Regards Nick

Seeing the cut of the stone and how it's set can help determine age. Without those photos my guess would be 1910 - now.

Thanks davyd286, we thought it might be old, but not that old. That will help me try and find the makers mark.
      Regards
      NickB
