This is a size 12 Elgin fron 1922. For me, this one is all about the dial. I love the "chased" silver center and raised gold numbers. It's a nice little dress watch. I forgot to take a picture of the back... Maybe I'll post it later...

Much prettier than mine I like it a lot !
Hi. I just saw your post and your watch is the closest I've seen to one that I recently found in some of my grandparents belongings. Except mine has black numbers and they're not raised. I tried to take a picture, but either got too much glare or not enough detail. The embossing (?) in the gold in the center of the face kind of reminds me of exotic birds. I wanted to open it and see if I could discover more, but haven't been successful at figuring that out either :-). I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction to find out more about this. Thank you so much.

Sharlene, You need to get the back open. More that likely it screws off. Once you have it open there'll be a serial number on the movement. If the watch is an Elgin like mine go to this website and type the serial number in and it'll give you a lot of the info you're looking for. Also, take some pictures and post it here! We'd all love to see it...
Thanks for the love walksoftly!!!
