Beautiful dark wood case on this clock, the wood appears to be mahogany. There are NO scratches, nicks, or discoloring to the clocks wood case. Is Tambour No. 26 the Model Name? Or is it the type of Chime? The case has an octagonal design around the clock face. The finish does not show any crazing or wear overall the clock is in pristine condition. The clock has wood legs that all match and look appropriate to the clock as well.

Not sure what model New Haven clock this is. Have not been able to find another one like it online or in the clock research sites I utilize. If anyone knows the model name, please let me know.

The convex glass over the clock face is intact, no blistering or cracks. Has a great looking porcelain face with raised gold numbers. The clock New Haven under the arms of the clock above the 6 and Chime under the 12. The clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The bezel is attached securely to the case. The back door on the case is intact and securely attached to the case as well. Has a great looking wood handle that is inset into the door. There is a label on the inside of the door that seems to have the details about the clock the top of the label reads New Haven Electric Clock Tambour No. 26 Chime.

The movement has the New Haven logo on it. This clock is in running and striking condition. I had a clock specialist give the movement a good wipe down and oiled the pivot points, but not serviced beyond that. The strike has a nice sound to it with the five strike hammers. Both springs feels sound when keyed. The electrical wiring appears to be original and is in great condition as well. The clock does not include a wind key. Does anyone know where a wind key can be purchased?

The clock is 9.75" tall, by 20-3/8" across, by 5-5/8" wide. I cannot tell what the last patent date on the clock movement is. Does anyone know what a clock like this in the pritine condition that its in would go for if I ever decided to sell it?

Thank you for your assistance and time.

Hi and welcome to Collectors Weekly!
I'm not finding this particular model in any of my references but I do think the model name is "Tambour No. 26" as I've found several other examples named "Tambour No. XX". Not sure what to tell you on value. Keep an eye of eBay auctions. The Electric Movement makes your clock a little less common I think.

It's a nice example. Good luck with your research. Maybe someone here will have more information for you. Hope that helps a little
