This Ansonia clock is from around 1883. It's model name is "Equal" If you look carefully at mine you'll see it isn't... Equal I mean... It's missing a trim piece on the bottom right corner...lol...

Samcat, Thanks for the love!! Tragic story here. I sold this clock on ebay to a guy in FL. It arrived all busted up! I've had that happen to several nice old things I've sold over the years and I hate it! If I'd just kept this clock it would still be merrily ticking away in my living room...
I hate when that happens on my watch but commercial carriers really don't care. Even when it's marked fragile and of course, accidents do happen. I've worked on a receiving dock before. The specific carrier doesn't matter. From the knee down to about the shin height, packages get tossed around.
