This Silver little Mesh Evening Bag Purse has wo marks (see photo 4).
I've seen all different this kind of hand bag purses but no one like this. I wonder which hallmarks there are? Two heads with faces looking left.
The hand bag weight a good 200 gram and it's 14 cm. long. I show also my earlier chatelaine silver purse.
Does anyone have an idea what kind of hallmarks these could be. I don't see any silver content.
Indeed mark mystery solved thanks to collector kivatinitz ! The lower is mercury french made for export:

the other mark could be the same, hardly to seen.

    Unsolved Mystery

What a nice mesh hand bag, Marga! Must be very tactile too, love the large drops too!
Sorry for the marks, can't see them neatly...

Kyra thanks for love and comment. It is actually a bag whose upper edge is folded. the marks are so small that I do not get better in the picture which is a shame because dating is difficult.

Oh this is a beauty! I have to say, I had one that I sold and made a mistake when I sold it too. I meant to make the other person a counter offer but hit accept instead. The name on mine was Anna La Chappel (sp) and engraved as such with the date 1901 or 1910, All silver. I never did figure out who the maker was. I recently found out it was the engraved persons name they were after. I could have sold it for much much more had I known. I'll take a peek and see what I can find.

Hmmm, I'm not the greatest at finding these anyway but gave it a shot with no luck. Sometimes we look until we just can't look any more then all of a sudden, there it will be! Keep your chin up.
