Hi all. I have had this cooler for probably 35 yrs or so. It came from my grand parents estate. It's well used but original condition. There are no numbers on it that I can find. Can anyone here tell me anything about this cooler. Age etc. I can't seem to find a picture anywhere I have looked.

    Thanks.

My dd used to bring one of these to the beach when we were kids back in the mid 1960s. Mom made PBJ sandwiches and wrapped them in wax paper.
Those coolers weighed about 20 lbs empty. Great memories.
Oh and my dad was one to make his own ice,,,and then use the ice pick to break it up. Thats when we knew we were taking the subway to Coney Island.

Unusual to see the corner guards on the lid. Canadian cooler, looks like? If so, St. Thomas was a maker up north during the 50's. Maybe one of our picnic cooler pro's will weigh in with more info.

Yes. I live in southern Ontario so this was probably made up here. Does this make it rare ? I'm really not sure what to do with it. Thanks for the replies !

This version was made by Greetham Industries in Toronto in the "50's.
They were marked at one end, but with a painted on mark that might have been lost to time.
This is one I don't have yet, so if you're interested in re-homing it ,give me a shout out.
      I'm in Dundas.
