Found this walking stick and trying to find out more about it. It is marked with E.Ross.
Any info would be appreciated.

This stick was hand-made by my parents (Earl and Elaine Ross). They did craft shows from the early '90s until about 2006. They did shows all over Texas and some out of state. Their company was called Sticks of Texas. They are both alive and well living in Hallettsville, TX.
Where did you find the stick at? There were quite a few "collectors" that purchased 10's and even 100's of sticks from them. Some of them quite elaborate with 3D carvings of everything from civil war soldiers to Santa Claus.
If you want I might be able to find one of their advertising pamphlets.
The red and white coloring is normally used by the blind or legally blind folks. Mine has an "L" shaped handle on it.
The colors on this stick were just to represent Texas Tech. When this one was made they were living in Utopia, TX, doing shows in Boerne, San Antonio, West, and a few other places. They even did shows in NM. They still have some of their sticks that they never sold (they no longer are in the walking stick business) that I could post links to.
Very nice to see something on here that someone is personally related to and can offer up information. It happens now and then and I always enjoy those posts because they don't leave room for speculation or guessing. Thank you for informing us.
My girlfriend found this post by accident. My parents sold literally thousands of sticks (many way more elaborate than this one) over the years that they participated in craft shows. It's nice to see their work still being appreciated. I'm glad I could help.
