This ring was bought in qingtao in china , in 1975.
All i know is that it fits a male finger.

Same with the ring as with the bracelet - is there a mark inside on the band? The stone looks like an Aquamarine.

Try taking a photo of the mark under a loupe against the lens of the camera. I agree with Bonnie, the stone looks like an aquamarine, and the ring appears to be gold.
Take it to a reputable jeweler and have it properly examined. We can't accurately tell you any more about it just by seeing photos. China puts out a lot of crap jewelry, so stamps inside a piece of jewelry may not be accurate. That is why it's best to have the ring acid tested to see if it is gold and what quantity of gold.
