I picked this up last summer but know little about it other than it appears to be a military radio pack frame, with some considerable age. The tape on the pack when I got it said WWII Marine Raiders, but I have my doubts since it does not seem to have any identifying markings that I can find. It is in actually pretty good shape, leather sill supple and solid as a rock ... weighs about as much as one too. I can almost appreciate how tough this would be to slog around with a heavy radio mounted in it and more than likely under "less than optimal" conditions.

Have not had any comments so thought I would update this a little. I have had one person tell me this would have been to carry ordnance like mortar rounds.

It is some type of pack or ruck, but I don't believe that it is US made. I would think it is European.

I think you are correct sir, someone told me they were sure it was Swiss.
