I found this great genre painting of the Amish couple, called THE WHEAT GATHERERS, while we were living in Des Moines, Iowa.
St. George was born in Iowa but later moved to San Francisco where his work was displayed in prominent galleries, etc....
I was fortunate enough to meet his aunt in Des Moines, and got to see more of his work as she was settling his estate.
I have another painting of his which I found at a later date.

Hi Cis2you, I signed up on this site so I could contact you about this painting. Actually, the artist of the painting. I'm looking for more information about Willis St. George. I live in Des Moines, IA and would be interested in contacting his aunt, if she is still living. My email is Sarah.Oltrogge@earthlink.net if you can help me out. I'd much appreciate it! Thanks!
