My Grandfather found this clay bowl while on a trip through southern CA in the 1940's. He has passed and we do not know the exact location - but he camped overnight while he traveled by just pulling off the road and making a pallet. He has said he was aware he was in an area known as an Indian territory in previous years - but that is all we know. We'd love to get this in the hands of a museum if it was appropriate for one.

If it is turned on a potter's wheel, it isn't early Indian
