This is the TN Japan (Nomura) 2x Police Cars and Fire Dept. Chief friction cars. Each vehicle is 3-1/4" x 1-1/4", and the friction drive mechanisms work perfectly! So far I've been unable to figure out what year these are from, but my best guess is early to mid-1970s.

Nice tin litho cars in great condition. I would date them to the late 50's or early 60's. I remember trips to the local dime store for this type of toy. By the 70's most of our imports were coming from taiwan. The style of car would also suggest the 50's
