A really cool find to keep the grandchildren occupied for hours ,this Noah's Ark filled with animals,the ark is made of beautiful tiger maple wood and it opens to let down the bridge, the top even lifts off, I'm not sure if it was a kit or a home project someone made, it has no labels or brands,which usually are found on wood toys,love it! I found a bit of info on these wood arks and toys related to the Bible, they were made so that children from religious families in the 1800s could play with toys on Sundays and learn about the Bible , other toys were not allowed,so they called them ( Sunday Toys) usually Noah's Arks were made with lots of animals all made of wood by the fathers, the more plain ones are early ,but they can be very elaborate in the later designs.
