Well, who among us sees ectoplasm attributed to a haunting; but, mostly, photographic and video evidence of mists and vapors captured during ghost investigations are being labeled ectoplasm. When a mist is present that cannot be attributed to moisture, fog, smoke, cigarette smoke, steam, or breathe in cold air, the vaporous cloud can usually be assumed to be a physical manifestation of spirit. or spirits
Just a thought. Do I hear snickering?(It's only me with my daily nonsense alert) But--,There were deaths in the rank. You might want to post on a paranormal invesigators site for an opinion if interested.

Years ago - I did a temp job at Flying Tiger Airlines at SFO. I had to inventory the entire hangar, locker rooms etc.! It was very interesting and fun. I had to work fro a list and find stuff. At one point - I'm like - where are the 'plane jacks'. The guy goes, you are standing under them...

The names are on the back of the first photo , I suppose ??

Mrs Chennault is on the right.

William D. Pawley is speaking to the throng and Mrs. Pawley is centre stage.

"William Douglas Pawley (September 7, 1896—January 7, 1977) was a U.S. ambassador, a noted businessman and associated with the Flying Tigers American Volunteer Group (AVG) during World War II."

Ed Rector : is next to Mrs Chennault.

Jim Howard is behind Mrs Pawley:

Lots of little boys love fighter planes. But New York City--born Donald Lopez became so obsessed after watching the Oscar-winning 1927 silent film Wings that he took his first plane ride--in an open cockpit--at age 7. He went on to become a U.S. Air Force test pilot and World War II ace, part of the team that was the successor to the storied Flying Tigers fighters. Later, as a director of the Smithsonian, Lopez collaborated with Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins to plan and build the National Air and Space Museum. He was 84.

Music fans knew him as Hurricane...
