Hi all CW friends. Found this yesterday and had no idea what it was but real or fake it is called "The Lovers" by Chester Dale/Picasso. It is on canvas and measure 24" tall and about 17-1/2" wide.
When I seen the name of this picture, you here at CW are the first ones I thought about. :)
I'm going to make another post that I hope will make you smile.

OGF, I have the excact same one, they are print on canvas, "the lovers" are a very interesting period in Picasso life, very collectable, as the original cost a fortune.

      Regards
      Alan

Thanks Alan. I didn't know that a print could be make on canvas so I guess that is where Chester Dale came into the "picture"? LOL
Very unexpected find/place. She had some very interesting pieces but I was on the lunch run, and it was hot out so at least their food didn't get cold. :0)
Thanks too for the loves: blunder, Nice, Thomas and Alan. :)

You welcome OGF, those from we'll know artist are better quality, a closer look reveal the brush stroke of the original painting , nice to see on a older print, better than flat print, mind come from Spain in the 70s, you're probably same era, look alike.

      Regards
      Alan

Oh, my gosh. I think I just had a lightbulb moment from your comment.!! This will be very helpful. Thank You!!
It does leave me with a question... If I can now tell it is a print, is there a price range for these that I should consider? I only paid $2.00 for this one, so it's not like I am about to overpay too much. :):)
