    Still yet another aircraft I have never heard of and was a Korean War Veteran. This one was used as a night fighter as it had a powerful radar set. I am thinking the straight wings did not make it suitable to go up against Migs in daylight.
    Filling up the rest of the post are some photos from the Pima Air Museum in Tucson. There are some Korean war F56 Sabers in photo 3 along with many other vintage fighters.
    Photo 4 are trainers although many of them were also used as fighters

      The U.S. did seem a bit reluctant to go to swept wing design while relying on short stubby wings.

      Actually, the swept-wing design truly complicates the CG factour at all speeds. The Ruskies must have grabbed the cream of that concept from the Germans .

      Yes the Soviets borrowed a few ideas for the Germans. I visited an Russian sub built in 1972. It was based on WWII U-Boat design. Looked more like 1942 than 1972
