I am trying to prperly id this lamp. I purchased it as a Frank Lloyd Wright which had been purchased at a reputable auction house locally in the 1980s. I do not know what features to look for, other than the seller from whom I purchased it....and he could be wrong. The slag glass shade looks period, the finial is square, relatively flat, and heavy. The metal has a copper finish. I need help with the characteristics I need to id in a genuine Frank Lloyd Wright floor lamp. Thanks.

I'm a Frank Lloyd Wright fan so out of curiosity I found some images of his lamps online. It certainly looks like it could be one of his. I found a book at Amazon
THE LAMPS OF FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT by Dennis Casey. Perhaps this book could help you. Let me know. It's a neat lamp regardless!
Thank you, I will look into it. I have purchased many things beyond my expertise, and could risk it because I did not pay much for them. This lamp however, cost me, and was purchased with much reluctance.
I have a lamp with the exact same shade, but it is a desk lamp. I bought it at an antique shop, but I really think it is a reproduction. Remember, Wright's work has been imitated for almost one hundred years.
Yes, I know that his work has been highly copied. The finish on the metal is similar to those I have seen in the corporate hardware stores. This raised my suspicions when I purchased it. Worst case scenario I have an attractive floor lamp that I would not have purchased otherwise.
I have the same lamp, as a tabletop model. Certainly inspired by Wright, but probably not a Wright design, unless markings would indicate, or suggest by age of lamp...
