Oh, he's a nice one!! The detailing on the originals, was amazing. The originals, like this one, had slimmer legs and bodies. Yours is just a very fine example of that craftsmanship! I have a couple originals myself and cherish them. Love it!

jscotto, I really appreciate the informative comment. I knew nothing about these and just took a gamble. This also came from the estate auction of my neighbor.

I had two Boston "Bull" Terriers "Cookie" and "Candy" But they were both Black and White. I thought all pedigree "BBT'"s were all of that color. I thought your color had turned that way from the elements over the years, Are we talking of the same breed?--You're saying Boston Terrier, I am saying Boston Bull Terrier.

I have a Welsh Corgi now. A really good dog, and a "watch-dog".
I love your door stop! Very very NICE!! Looks like you have a watch-dog there!! Could scare away someone with trouble on nis mind!

postcardcollector, I had a Boston Terrier also when I was a kid and he was black and white. I am strictly going by what I found on line describing this doorstop. My brother has a Welsh Corgi now...nice dog! As fore me, I have had wire fox terriers but now have three dogs: a cairn terrier; maltese and papillion. Thank you for the nice comment.

In the 1920's National Foundry catalog, these are simply listed as "Terrier" and Hubley listed it in their catalog as a"Boston Bull". Believe it or not, it sold for $1.10 unpainted. Hope this helps.

      Newfld,
Some old man tried to steal him from the estate auction and was caught. That is the only reason that I have him. TY!
