I was very happy to find this great piece of jewelry - but not at all happy that the stallholders kept me waiting almost 10 minutes! The owner of this brooch was having a wander around the flea market instead of staying behind her table and selling. The other two didn't know what price to ask. Others were also told they had to wait to purchase items. They just walked away. After much annoyance, I offered 3 bucks for this pin and a cultured pearl/sterling clasp necklace. Accepted - yay! This brooch has her mark < back-to-back Js >in one corner, visible in the 3rd photo.

    From Ruby Lane:

"HISTORY: Judith Jack and her husband Jack Rosenberg created the Judith Jack Company in 1969 and are best known for producing jewelry that featured marcasite and simulated pearls, often in replica Victorian designs and sterling silver. Their jewelry was usually hand set in sterling and hand polished. The company still produces a line of costume jewelry under the name, "Reflection".

Early Judith Jack jewelry is difficult to find and highly collectible."

LOL kerry! I see exactly why you would've bought it, too. :-)))))

It was lying in the bottom of a basket of costume jewelry. My pearl choker necklace came out of the same basket. The rest was rubbish....

Oh this brings on painful memories about a Judith Jack ring. I'll tell you the story another time, after it all gets resolved, in court, unfortunately. :(

It's a fab brooch, you are so lucky to get it, and at your usual prices, grrrrrrr!!! :P
