In an earlier posting, patron "Wolfegang" posted a Printer block with this same graphic. These type of blocks were to print advertisement for the Mickey Mouse watches. This particular style graphics was never a production piece, so was never used in an advertisement campaign. Sorry for the dust on this in the photos, but an old saying states "Dust...is Mother Natures protective coating against the elements" LOL.
    Thanks for looking....

      Amazing piece, Kerry.
Is it lead, or other metal? I did a little research into advertising in the early 20th.C and it is fascinating.

If you read about advert production in this 1947 book, everything is explained.
The chapter entitled "Producing and re-producing the ads" starts on page 321, and is a step-by-step explanation of the normal letterpress process that was the most commonly used in newspapers, mags, etc.
