Does anyone know exactly what this is? Is it a souvenir item? Or an old talisman of some kind? Thanks for looking!

Well it's not supposed to be used for fighting, since it has a wavy blade. It's most likely a ceremonial blade - a "Kris", from East Asia. I can't tell its age, could be old or new. The material and condition makes me think it's pretty recent though, and the crudeness of the figurine makes me think that it's a souvenir.

Still, it's a pretty cool knife-thingy. Where and when did you get it? What metal is it?

Hi Dhakir, thanks for the info. Yes, a Kris, that is right. I bought it from an antique deal who went out of business. An older guy. It looks like it is made of brass.

I think so too scott but wasn't sure. It ended up being a buck or two, so I figured I would give it a shot. thanks!
