What humiliation for the old chorus girl who has lost all her attraction for the men in the audience over the 50 years she has been dancing on the stage. They look startled, not seduced by her appearance up on the stage. It is sooo funny and kindda sad a the same time. 1906 Undivided back--see photo 2 for back. One of the cards that still makes me smile.
I photographed it on a manila envelope and it drained all the color! Blue skirt and yellow and orange striped stockings, Brown hair--she is toothless. And the title of card "A STAGE FRIGHT"!! 1906

      I think it's a man dressed as a woman.

Not a hairpiece on the head--upswept hair do---all hair line shows all around the scalp and that is not made as a wig. It could be a man tho, with very long, at least shoulder-length hair. A funny thought! Thanks for the suggestion.

The men in the orchestra & audience are angry, not startled.
