Would like to know a little more of this heavy bronze bowl picked up in an antique shop in the UK. I have been told it is from the Ming Dynasty era but the person who gave us the information was unsure. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
The mark on your modern bronze censer, rotated 90 degrees clockwise, reads top down and right to left: Great Ming, Xuande, Period Made. Xuande was the fifth reign, 1426 to 1435.

The mark is of Xuande, but apocryphal...
