This is so beautiful a triangular Black Hyalith or Lithyalin Glass perfume bottle .It is hand enamaled with scenes of waterbirds . Dating some time from 1830's to 1850's (I guess). One of the pointy bits of the crown of the stopper is missing, not bad for all the years it's been around.

The English had the Beilby family. I wonder who was responsible for this beautiful decoration.
Two lithyalin in such fortnight.
The other one is monster and this one so elegant.
Is the triangular shape rare?
The leafy sprigs are similar in theme to the flowers on the Ausfuhrung 162; I like it that they unite the piece with its stopper.
A lovely, unusual perfume bottle.
This drop dead gorgeous bottle reminds me of my pair of black funerary vases with white enamel. I'll send you a picture.
Thanks Al I love it . It has pride of place in my glass cabinet (for the moment) . And it was only 20bucks!! Some tmes you just gotta win!
