This antique (?) pickle crock has been in our family for years, but I know nothing about it. It's about 15-1/4" high and 13-1/4" in diameter. Can anyone shed some light on the marking, manufacturer, age. Thanks in advance!

The 8 means 8 gallons. Here is one from 15 gallons. Not possible to ID a maker.

      Your pickling crock is stoneware.

Here is another one, 20 gallons. Same mark.

Efesgirl it is an 8 gallon crock, it is from Roseville Ohio. My wife and I collect the same pattern and we are trying to get one in every size so far we have a 2gal, 3gal, 6gal, 10gal, 12 gal, 15gal and 20gal. I think we only need 3 or 4 more sizes to have them all. I know they make it in a 30 gallon size as well.

Hey collectormzornes, we uncovered a 30 gallon crock today in the basement of an abandoned schoolhouse. It is in great condition if you are interested.
