c 1906 Royal Crown Derby Porcelain partial tea service - this belonged to my great grandmother in France around this time period - absolutely flawless although difficult to find anything that matches exactly "old imari" appears to be a popular thing to call it but I don't think it's correct. Also, my pieces have a 3903 on the bottom - but that is not the correct pattern number (?) oh well....I love them and they are in the china closet but if you have knowledge I'd be happy to learn :)

It is beautiful! The problem with older pieces is that the pattern name was not written on the bottom. I’m sure there must be a Crown Derby collectors society in the IK, and there may even eye a museum.
Here’s a link to antique-marks, which is a great resource for British fine porcelain that may have a link for you

Thanks Mary - yes I've been to antique-marks.com and you are correct that there is a site and a museum - and this excellent reference for marks http://www.royalcrownderby.co.uk/trademarks/

Sadly, few seem to care about the actual pattern as I saw TWO listings on various sites that had different patterns pictured when describing one piece...(I've done A LOT of research lol)

Very nice set Aha! I have an early English set, but not as nicely decorated as your!
