    12 foot long pole cast metal top and bottom hardware. It does show signs of age appropriate wear.

    Was sold at auction as a tool used in general stores to removing items from top shelf, but not sure that is what it really is.

      Could be used for a lot of things couldn't it.......opening and shutting really high windows in the old churches......

      Any use that involves hooking the fork over something will be difficult, at best, at a twelve-foot remove. Also, I think there is a reason for the pointed foot; if the fork was the operative part, for a long reach, there would be no reason for a foot, - especially one with a point.
