    This a dragon statue situated at my grandfather house in the 1940s.

    I remembered it as a tall magnificent statue when i was a little girl. Many years later as an adult when i come back to the same spot it appeared smaller and rather normal looking to me.

    Was i idealising or romanticising the past too much that somehow made today's reality and truths seem so harsh.

    Still, i often revisit this place- even in my heart.

      Wow - I wish I had one of those. Houses that I lived in when a child seemed quite large to me, now when I see photos they appear much, much smaller.
