Flea market find. The stones are glass, they are too big to be garnets. No marks but I would say this brooch was made in Czechoslovakia - it pretty much reminds me of my 1980s childhood and stuff I have seen back them in shops windows. It just reeks Czechoslovakia for me... but, who knows :D.

The center is a hand painted enamel, I think it is earlier than the time frame you suggest.It is a very nice piece...

PostCardCollector, its not hand painted. Its factory made, some kind of print. Thats pretty common ornament and I have seen it numerous times, I think i have 1 or 2 other pieces with this ornament.
Might be older than I said of course.
