Just received this lamp. No shade and no marks that i can find. Any guesses or suggestions on period and maker or the kind of shade it deserves?
Two different metals, neither holds magnet, leaves appear hand "appliqued" - height extends. I am super curious. I really like it. Plug and bulb holders appear to be replcements 1950s style- all else original. Felt bottom looks replaced. Would maker mark be underneath? Resisting urge to clean

I apologize for the sideways images :-)

I agree! Its the stories that make each item a real treasure. My Aunt Ranny was my mentor, beginning ages ago focusing on mostly glassware. Thats expanded over the years. She encouraged each of us to begin with a different color or pattern of glassware. I am new here. Finding more time for curiosity and investigation. What a lovely community of like minded souls.

I will try my hand at inquiring at local shops. What is your opinion on a suitable shade shape or style that would be suitable? Happy to virtually meet you Valentino97!

Its about 30 inches tall, extends to 35+\- - not sure where yet. Probably living room.
yes, i have a sense of humor, but not clever or witty.
