The first iconic photo shows a bunch of young college kids crammed in a phone booth and the other historic photo is of Col. Benjamin O. Davis, The commanding officer of the 332nd. The only black pilot Squadron in the American armed services during WW 2

Hey! Those accordion doors move out when they close & the "packers" settle & block the doors ! I was in the lower 1/3 & WAS suffocating ! I don't remember how it was opened without breaking glass, or maybe it was broken. I didn't care when I got out ! I think we got 22 in it. I DIDN'T CARE WHEN I GOT OUT !! I DON"T CARE NOW !! One of the stupidest things I've ever done & may explain things about me now ! LOL !! I think it was when I was dying there, that I decided I didn't want to go to Nam ! That sounded even more stupid ! Of course the U.S. Gov't. closed that telephone box door for us.
