I have had this for quite awhile and still am not sure as to it's purpose or even what it is called. It is 4" overall in length with a security chain. The only marking is pat. date sept 22 07 on back. Looks to be gold but again not sure as there are no markings. There is a small spring loaded clip on the back. Don't Know if it is functional or decorative or....? Found out it is a watch fob.

You can change the "vintage" to "antique" - it's Edwardian and more than 100 years old.

I believe these are watch fob wax seal stamps. I have a similar one with a patent date of Dec 8 03. The flat of the stamp has the initials gk in fancy script.
