This set has been in my family for over 100 years but all I know is that it first belonged to my great grandma and then it was given to my grandma and my grandma gave it to me about 10 years ago before she moved to Alaska. The mirror is supposed to sit on the marble top but I can't do that because the legs are not strong enough anymore and my ceilings are nowherre near tall enough! I would really appreciate anything anyone could tell me about this. My husband has me limited to only "free" research online, so I haven't been able to get any substantial information in years. I am not sure what the table legs and mirror frame are made of. There are places where small chunks have fallen off and I have kept them, hoping to repair it someday, but I really don't think it is any type of wood. Please help if you can!! Thank you so very much.
