    Can anyone tell me the style of this chair. It was purchased in 1979 by my mother and I believe the date stamped on the bottom is 1976, when it was made. It is very well built, sturdy, and solid wood.

      You have a Virginia House Furniture 1976 Bicentennial Liberty Rocking Chair. The painted artwork seems to have been either by purpose or accident been removed. You can check the pictures that I am about to upload of mine under my account.
