    I got this at Goodwill yesterday. I was sure it was from Mexico - a piece of Oaxacan spatterware, but now i'm not so sure. The clay is not the right color, and the bottom is matte finished. Does anyone recognize this type? it's about 8" across.

      I think your initial impression was correct - this is most likely of Mexican origin.
