"I am here and here I will remain..." Some 43 years later, I'm not sure if this is prophecy or irony, but there is no denying that this Chilean reminder of the coup against the Allende government still has it's shock value.

In the 80's, I knew very well a U.S. major who claimed to have been on the sniper team that assassinated Allende. He described the long shot in detail, such as smoke generated at different ranges to the victim because winds were erratic that day. He also told me that he had been involved in a number of Oliver North's covert operations until they had a parting of ways.
I think it's a good idea to stay away from that guy.
